I don’t know WHAT Peter Jackson THOUGHT he was producing. It was exactly as Tolkien had described it, and the exposition of the history and relevance of the Black Arrow in the Rankin-Bass Animated adaptation of The Hobbitcontinues to be the definitive adaptation, to date.

I thought Rankin-Bass did a very good job of depicting the Black Arrow.
